চট্টগ্রাম জেলার চন্দনাইশ উপজেলাধীন বিভিন্ন বৌদ্ধ গ্রাম ও বিহার ঘুরে যখন শীতার্ত মানুষের চোখে আর্তি স্পষ্ট হয়ে ওঠে, তখন ঠিক বুদ্ধের সেই অমিত করুণার পথেই হাঁটলেন এক জন সম্মানিত বৌদ্ধ ভিক্ষু।

আন্তর্জাতিক বৌদ্ধ উন্নয়ন সংস্থা, বাংলাদেশ এর সম্মানিত চেয়ারম্যান, জে.বি.এস. আনন্দবোধি স্থবির মহোদয় নিজে উপস্থিত থেকে অসহায়, দরিদ্র ও শীতার্ত মানুষের মাঝে শীতবস্ত্র ও কম্বল বিতরণ করেছেন।

🌬️ শীতের দিনে একটুখানি উষ্ণতা, একটুখানি ভালোবাসা

বৌদ্ধ ধর্মের মূল দর্শন — মৈত্রি, করুণা, সহানুভূতি ও অপরের দুঃখ লাঘবের প্রয়াস — এ কর্মসূচির মধ্য দিয়ে বাস্তবে প্রতিফলিত হয়েছে।
তিনি গ্রামের ঘরেঘরে, বিহারে-বিহারে গিয়ে শীতার্ত বৃদ্ধ, শিশু, নারী ও দিনমজুরদের হাতে তুলে দিয়েছেন প্রয়োজনীয় শীতবস্ত্র। অনেকেই এই সহানুভূতিমূলক সেবাকে নিঃশব্দে চোখের জলে স্বাগত জানিয়েছেন।

ভিক্ষু আনন্দবোধি স্থবির মহোদয় বলেন:

“শুধু উপাসনা নয়, প্রকৃত ধর্মচর্চা হল অন্যের দুঃখ বুঝে তার পাশে দাঁড়ানো। একজন মানুষের মুখে হাসি ফোটানোই বুদ্ধের বাণীকে জীবন্ত করে তোলে।”

এই বিতরণ কার্যক্রম কেবল উপহার নয় — এটি ছিল সমবেদনার প্রকাশ, করুণার আহ্বান ও সামাজিক দায়বদ্ধতার প্রতিফলন।

Winter Blanket Distribution by the International Buddhist Development Organization in Chandanaish, Chattogram

As the winter winds sweep across the rural villages of Chandanaish Upazila in Chattogram district, the bite of cold is felt most by those who have the least. It is here, among the elderly, the day laborers, the children and the poor, that a quiet act of Buddhist compassion unfolded.

Venerable J.B.S. Ananda Bodhi Sthavira, Chairman of the International Buddhist Development Organization, Bangladesh, personally led the distribution of winter blankets and warm clothing to underprivileged and cold-affected villagers across several Buddhist temples and communities.

🌬️ More Than Warmth — A Gift of Loving-Kindness

Rooted in the Buddha’s teachings of Mettā (loving-kindness), Karuṇā (compassion), and Dāna (generosity), this initiative was not merely a charitable event—it was a manifestation of living the Dhamma in action.

Venerable Ananda Bodhi Sthavira walked from home to home, temple to temple, placing warm blankets in the hands of those who needed them most. For many, it wasn’t just relief from the cold—it was a reminder that they were not forgotten.

Some recipients, with tears in their eyes, accepted the blankets with deep gratitude. In the silence of that moment, human dignity and Buddhist compassion met in perfect harmony.
